The Montage Kapalua Bay is introducing a new Luau to its offerings at the Beach Club at Kapalua Bay (one of my favorite locations on the island, the Beach Club is located overlooking Kapalua Bay).

Unlike most public luaus in Hawaii, The Beach Club Luau at Kapalua Bay will be an intimate affair, providing guests with a more personal and authentic Hawaiian luau experience. The up-close event will only host up to 40 people. While guests at The Beach Club Luau will still sit at communal tables, its small size will afford all guests a front row seat.

Each guest will receive coursed gourmet luau bento boxes, curated by Executive Chef Eric Faivre filled with modern luau favorites. For more information, click here.

Avid golfers dream of playing Kapalua's Plantation Course, which consistently ranks amongst the top courses in Hawaii and rated as one of the top 100 courses in the world.  The course is the home of the PGA TOUR’s Sentry Tournament of Champions which returns to Kapalua Golf’s Plantation Course from January 1-5, 2020. Tickets for the PGA TOUR's champions-only event are available at sentrytournamentofchampions.com

In preparation for the tournament, a 9-month, multi-million dollar enhancement project began in February 2019.  Both the course and the Plantation Course clubhouse and golf shop reopen to the public on November 23rd.  In preparation for the tournament, tee times will be limited on the

Maui needs your help to continue Third Saturday Recycling every month next year.  Just a few minutes of your time can make a huge difference for Maui's ecological future.

Volunteers recycling appliances, TVS and scrap metal as part of West Maui's Third Saturday   The Mayor’s proposed budget for next year includes just half the funds needed for Third Saturday Recycling. The Montage Kapalua Bay, is a five-star resort with private residences, situated overlooking Kapalua Bay.  The grounds are home to one of my favorite spots on the whole island, the Cliff House.  When I was growing up, I would accompany my father to meetings there.  In spite of being bored at the meetings, the journey always thrilled me, because I knew we would be swimming in the crystal clear waters below as soon as he finished.

Kapalua Plantation CourseTroon, the management for Maui's famed Plantation Course in Kapalua, has announced plans to revitalize the course, as well as key components of the Bay Course and Golf Academy. 

The Plantation Course repeatedly receives accolades as one of the best courses in Hawaii.  Around the world, the course is best known as home to the annual PGA Tour Tournament of Champions, an invitation-only tournament, with a field comprised of only to the prior year's tournament winners.

The multi-million dollar enhancement project includes plans to have the original architects, Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, work with the Golf Channel's Mark Rolfing, a long time Kapalua resident.  The initial scope of the project includes resurfacing the greens, renovating the bunkers, and

Local charitable organization, Whale Trust, along with The National Geographic | Fine Art Galleries, invites the public to an evening event celebrating whales with a feature presentation by Flip Nicklin.Whale Trust National Geographic
