At Coconut Grove, which is similar in design (four residences in 9 buildings overlooking Kapalua Bay) no short term rentals are allowed as it was constructed in 2000 in an apartment zoning. The Montage Residences Kapalua Bay, which are the newest and largest of the residences, completed in 2009, allow for short term rentals, as it is situated on hotel zoned property.
